After more than 37 years involved in all facets of industrial facility design, construction, start-up and maintenance, including projects in many regions of the US, I was ready for a change. Primarily driven by a desire to control my own destiny and…to be home every night, I ultimately decided to open HomeTeam Inspection Service in the Triangle area.
This venture allows me to bring strong inspection, quality control and technical writing skills into service protecting clients who are typically making the largest investment of their lives.
In addition to serving real estate buyers and sellers, I also provide several classes designed to expand Realtor’s knowledge, thus helping them better serve those clients. The classes include Home Inspection Orientation, HVAC for Realtors and Radon Gas in Real Estate.
Hello! My name is Scott Crawford. I love being a licensed home inspector. It feels like a blend of detective work and superhero duty, helping clients uncover what is really going on with a home.
My wife and I bought two homes without getting inspections, thinking it was an unnecessary expense. Hindsight proved otherwise. We would have saved a lot of money and headaches, and that experience inspired me to help others feel confident when making one of the biggest purchases of their lives.
I have been a home inspector for over six years, and I enjoy constantly learning through hands-on experience and yearly continuing education courses that keep my knowledge up to date.
I pride myself on doing an excellent job for my clients and am always available for ANY questions about your inspection or home. Thanks for reading. I look forward to meeting you and doing what I can to make your buying or selling process easier.
NC Licensed Home Inspector – License #3698
Buying or selling a home is a very stressful process. There’s just no two ways about it. I know because I’ve been there.
Over the last decade, as my wife and I have moved across the Tarheel State, we have been through the home-buying and home-selling process a few times. Each time, we received an inspection report; and each time, I learned something new about the various systems that make a house functional.
I knew the information contained on the pages of those reports was vital — it could help guide me in making, and in maintaining, a valuable investment. And for most people, it might have ended there … but I needed more.
Long story short, after more than fifteen years working as a copy editor, I felt compelled to pursue a new career path and earned my license as a North Carolina home inspector.
Now, after working as a home inspector in the Triad area, I have relocated to the Triangle with my wife and our three dogs. So, I can bring what I have learned — from my life experience and from my training — to homeowners and homebuyers in this area. And hopefully, I can bring some peace of mind to HomeTeam clients as they plan for the future.
Hey, I’m Dave Nemargut.
I have worked in different areas of home construction for roughly ten years and enjoy everything from the initial framing to the final installation of the flooring.
What brought me into the world of home inspection was being with friends and family members who would buy a house and, inevitably, end up with more problems than they anticipated. Since I have broad experience across construction, I realized that home inspection was a natural extension of my skills and a practical way to help give people some confidence with one big part of their lives.
I love the fact that every house is like a big scavenger hunt. It keeps me on my toes every day
