Manufactured Home Certifications

For HUD Compliance

HomeTeam has partnered with an engineering company to perform manufactured home foundation & addition inspections for HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development) compliance.

For the manufactured home’s foundation or addition to become HUD certified, a structural inspection must be completed to ensure compliance with HUD standards. For a foundation inspection, HomeTeam will check to see if the manufactured home is permanently supported and tied down, verify proper lot grade for drainage, and determine if the house can possibly drift off the foundation in rising water. HUD enforces overall compliance measures for the construction, design, and installation of manufactured homes to assure the quality, durability, and affordability.

A report will be generated for you by our engineering partner — this will take two to three days to complete. The engineer will certify the home (or not) based on the criteria above from the information collected onsite. If not certified initially, the engineer will prescribe rework needed to comply. To assist in the loan approval process of your manufactured home, make sure it’s structurally sound and get the required certification!
